Application areas
Coatings and printing inks
Features and benefits
This additive increases surface slip and improves surface protection and is recommended for solventborne and solvent-free systems.
Recommended dosage
0.3-0.5 % additive (purchased form) is based on the total formulation, in the printing ink.
The above recommended addition amount is for reference, and the suitable addition amount needs to be determined by a series of tests.
Incorporation method and processing guidance
The additive is best added at a low shear rate at the end of production.
Powder coating
Features and benefits
The additive is recommended for powder coating matting and also improves surface slip and surface protection.
Recommended use
VOK®-AP 991 is recommended for powders based on polyester/TGIC/β-hydroxyalkylamide, polyester/epoxy, acrylic, polyurethane and epoxy.
Recommended dosage
0.5-2 % additive (purchased form) based on total formulation.
The above recommended addition amount is for reference, and the suitable addition amount needs to be determined by a series of tests.
Incorporation method and processing guidance
VOK®-AP 991 should be mixed and stirred with resins, curing agents, pigments and other additives at high speed, and then all extruded and discharged.
