Application

Features
1. High Speed: Gravity of ceramic material is much lower than steel. Density is small so the bearing could be lightweight and high-speed, avoiding the slipping and load adding of roller caused by centrifugal force under higher speed rotation.
2. High stiffness: Elastic modulus of silicon nitride ceramic is 1.5 times bigger than metal so the elastic transformation under force is small. Relative load stiffness is high, reducing the vibration of machine tool. So it is widely used for high-precision system such as the main shaft of high-precision machine tool or aerospace bearing etc.
3. Long service life: Ceramic material has less dislocation, low mobility and higher hardness, reducing the wear so to make the ceramic bearing has good wear-resistant property.
4. Low heat: Friction factor of silicon nitride ceramic material is small, about 30% of standard bearing steel. Compared with metal material, heat conductivity of silicon nitride is not so good so during work, heat generated is less than metal so that the service life of lubrication is prolonged.
5. Low thermal expansivity: thermal expansivity of silicon nitride ceramic is about 20% of bearing steel.
6. Erosion-proof: Ceramic material is inactive, so the ceramic bearing has certain erosion-proof property. Therefore ceramic bearing could be applied in more areas than steel bearing such as chemical machinery, food machinery and marine machinery etc.
7. Non-magnetic: In strong magnetic environment, the fine powder from steel bearing body will be sucked onto the surface of roller and route and this is the main reason for bearing broken and noise.
Ceramic bearing is totally non-magnetic and has normal bearing ability so it could be applied in all non-magnetic condition.
