Standard Glazing Procedures

Carefully set glass units in sashes and ensure that the edge clearance is correct. Wind pressure can cause glass units to fall out if the setting is incorrect.Provide a sufficient clearance for the edges of glass units to prevent deformation under the forces generated by earthquakes, opening or closing impact and irregular thermal stress.Use a high quality elastic sealing compound (silicone or polysulfide).Use polyethylene foam or chloroprene rubber as a backup material.Provide setting blocks of chloroprene rubber (90° hardness) at two places along the bottom edge.
