Low-e Tempered Insulated Glass:
Tempered glass has been processed intense heating and rapid cooling in a controlled process.
Tempered glass will not break into sharp shards,but will instead break into small pieces or fragments.These fragments of tempered glass also called cuboids,because of their shape,and will not cut or cause harm as easily as regular glass.
Insulated glass are manufactured with glass in range of thickness from 3 mm to 10 mm or more in special applications. Laminated or tempered glass may also be used as part of the construction. Most units are manufactured with the same thickness of glass used on both panes but special applications such as acoustic attenuation or security may require wide ranges of thicknesses to be incorporated in the same unit.
Insulated tempered low-e glass is made or two or more than two pieces of temered low-e glass between which a space with certain width is parititioned by aluminum frame filled with highly efficient molecular absorbent.
Advangtage:
- Increased Strength: the glass is 4-5 times stronger than regular glass in terms of its mechanical strength, impact resistance and bending resistance.
- High thermal stability: Usually, the tempered glass can withstand even 250C temperature differential, three times better than the regular float glass of the same thickness, which can reduce the explosion incurred by huge temperature difference.
- .High security :when broken, the glass will crumble into small granular chunks of similar size and shape instead of splintering into random, jagged shards. The granular chunks are less likely to cause injury
- Because of it's double,it is so difficult to break.
