Battery Burning Tester is mainly used for the battery flame resistance test. The battery performance test is mainly to test the reliability of the battery when the battery is exposed to an open flame, and the battery's anti-fire performance.
Method: The screen is fixed at a distance of 38.1mm above the top of the burner, the screen has 20 holes per 25.4mm, and the wire diameter is 0.43mm. Ignite the burner and observe the burning of the battery at the same time until the battery explodes or the battery is burned; and time the combustion process.
Burning particle test:
Each test cell was placed on a 20 hole per square inch (25.4 mm) wire gauze and a 0.017 inch thick wire was placed a distance of 1-1/2 (38.1 mm) from the burner. Fuel and air are sprayed at a speed that provides a bright blue flame so that the wire mesh turns bright red. A rough asbestos panel was placed 3 feet (0.91m) from the center of the stencil. Crude asbestos is a square yard, consisting of four layers of 0.4-0.6 ounces of heavy and coarse asbestos material per square yard. The test sample is placed in the center of the rough asbestos that Mars or combustion particles can spray onto. In some cases, it should be required to circle the experimental sample inside the grid and then light the burner to observe the cell until it explodes or is destroyed.
Crude asbestos panels do not ignite when the battery is tested as described above.
Spray experiment
The experimental battery was placed on a flat table with a 4 inch diameter hole and covered with a lid. The cover consists of 20 holes per foot of wire mesh or 0.017 inch (0.43 mm) wire. Place a screen with a total of 8 screens, 2 feet wide (610mm), and 1 foot height (305mm) on each side, as shown in Figure 23.1. The wire mesh consisted of 0.010 inch (0.25 mm) diameter wire at 16-18 wires per inch. The sample is placed on a metal net, covering the hole in the center of the table and then heated until it explodes or until it is destroyed. The safety valve faces parallel to the asbestos cloth.
When the above experiment was performed, no part of the explosion cell penetrated the screen, and no part or all of the cells protruded from the screen.
