How to maintain the waffle maker?

1,Never clean a waffle maker while it's still hot. Let it cool completely.

2,Never dunk your entire waffle maker  in water.

3,Never use scouring pads, steel wool or abrasive cleansers.

4,Never use a knife or pointed object to clean your waffle maker.

How to clean the waffle plate?

    Remove any small puddles of oil with a dry paper towel.

    Brush away any crumbs with a soft-bristled kitchen brush or old toothbrush.

    Remove any batter stuck to the iron with a rubber spatula.

    To remove really-stuck-on batter, douse the baked-on batter with cooking oil. Wait 5 minutes for the batter to soften. Dab the batter off with a paper towel or cloth.

    To prevent staining and long-term oil build up, wipe down the baking plates with a damp cloth or paper towel.

    Make sure the waffle iron is completely dry before storing.

How to make waffle?
 
Ingredients:

    1 1/2 cups general purpose flour
    1/2 tsp salt
    1 tbsp baking powder
    2 large eggs
    1  cups skimmed milk
    1/2 cup corn oil

Instructions:

    Preheat  your waffle maker
    Sift the baking powder, flour and salt into a large bowl.
    Separate the eggs. Mix the egg yolks, milk, and oil in a small bowl. Stir this into the large bowl with the other ingredient.
    In a small bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff. Fold into the batter.
    Spray the hot waffle maker with low fat spray oil. Pour in the batter. Bake until the waffles are brown and crisp.

Great recipe for your waffle maker for breakfast or a light lunch

1 egg - needs to be separated
1  cup milk
1 cup plain flour
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1 tablespoon sugar
1 ounce melted butter
1 tablespoon cold water

Beat the egg whites until you get firm peaks. Beat the egg yolks and milk lightly together. Add the sifted dry ingredients and beat until smooth. Add the melted, cooled butter and the water. Blend well. Fold in the firmly beaten egg whites.

Heat the waffle maker. Brush both top and bottom surfaces of the waffle maker with a teaspoon of oil. Spoon approximately 2 tablespoons of the waffle mixture into the centre. Close the waffle maker, cook until golden brown for about 1 minute.

When the waffle is ready, all of the steam will have stopped. If you try to lift the top of the waffle maker and the top shows resistance, it is not quite ready. Cook a minute or two longer and try again.

Makes about 5 waffles. Delicious!
