12V 24V Double-contact BAY15D white LED all-round lights for boats

LED Replacement for BAY15d Indexed Bayonet Bulbs used in white LED all-round lights for boats .

This bulb uses 18 triple-emitter surface mount (SMD) LEDs arrayed in 5 planes for 360° visibility. It draws only 2.4W (0.2A at 12V), yet seriously outperforms an incandescent 10W anchor bulb.

It has a BAY15d base, which is a double-contact indexed (offset side tabs) base.

This product in Cool White or Warm White is suitable for masthead (anchor light) and stern lamp applications. Cool White is recommended behind clear lenses because it has a higher luminous output than Warm White. Because LED's have a narrow spectrum, we don't recommend using Cool White behind colored lenses because the colors will not be true. Use Warm White for bi-color or tri-color lenses (or use our tri-color bulb), and use Red, or Green behind individual Red and Green lenses.

Our Red and Green bulbs contain 18-LEDs, because using the same color LED as the lens color allows nearly 100% of the light is transmitted through the lens. For more information, see our white paper on this subject here.

NOTE: In common with other replacement LED lamps on the market, it is not possible to have any sort of marine authority certification for individual replacement bulbs. These LED lamps are easily visible at distances exceeding 3nm in standard fixtures and are the brightest replacement LED bulbs available. Given the vast array of navigation light fittings installed on marine vessels, it is the user's decision alone whether to use this product to retrofit any particular light fitting used for navigation purposes.
